I'm Trevor Hasty — a dealership service manager, a car flipper on the side, and the person who built DealerPlaybook because I needed it myself.
I've spent about 15 years in this business, and I never let anyone keep me in one lane. I started in sales and learned how deals actually get made. I moved into service and learned what really goes wrong with a car — and what it truly costs to fix. Then I went deep into the used-parts and auto-recycling world, because if you're going to buy, rebuild, and resell cars, you'd better understand where the parts come from and what they're worth. Most companies want to box you in. I kept chasing the next thing to learn.
DealerPlaybook started as a tool just for me — a way to know my real, all-in number before I ever made an offer. After a few flips actually put money in the bank, I realized the tool was the bigger opportunity. I kept building, figured out where AI genuinely helps in the flipping process (and where it doesn't), and turned it into the system I wish I'd had on day one.
Now I'm putting that system in the hands of people who think the way I do — flippers and small operators who want to know their numbers before they buy. It's early, and I'm building it in the open with real users. Your feedback shapes where it goes. Let's grow together.
